About Us
Italian Language Littles is the creation of husband and wife team, Matthew and Teresa. Together, they strongly believe that the best way to truly learn about a culture is through speaking the language. The best time to learn Italian is NOW!
Teresa's expertise as an early childhood educator and reading specialist will make the classes educational, fun and appropriate to the needs of the children. Teresa earned her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a concentration in Italian Language and Literature as well as her Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from New York University. Because Teresa is a first generation Italian-American, she maintains strong ties to the cultural traditions and language of her parents.
As an Italian teacher who once lived in Florence, Matthew helps bring creative ideas for language learning to the program. Matthew earned his Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education, Foreign Language- Italian from New York University and his Masters in Italian Language and Literature from Middlebury College. Matthew continues to work as a high school Italian teacher on Long Island. He has led and organized very successful student tours of Italy, giving his students the opportunity to have an experience of a lifetime!
Both Matthew and Teresa are lifelong learners and passionate about the Italian language and culture.
